OBERSTLEUTNANT KURT BUHLIGEN and MAJOR ERICH RUDORFFER - KNIGHTS CROSS WITH OAK LEAVES AND SWORDS - Double Signed Photo
Two of the greatest personalities and Aces of JG2 'Richthofen' in WW2, Kurt Buhligen rose through the ranks from a humble Unteroffizier who scored his first victory (a Hurricane) in the Battle of Britain, to become the Geschwaderkommodore of JG2 by the end of the war. Flying in North Africa and in defence of the Reich - scoring his 100th victory in June 1944. Buhligen scored a total of 112 victories.
Erich Rudorffer also began his career with JG2 in the Battles of France and Britain, moved to North Africa and later with the JG54 in Russia and finally the Me262 jet with JG7. He is credited with 222 victories on every front.
Both of these 'Experten' were awarded the Knights Cross with Oakleaves and Swords.
