OBERLEUTNANT HANS-ARNOLD 'FIFFI' STAHLSCHMIDT - Handwritten Original pilot Navigation Document
Stahlschmidt flew with JG27 in 1941 in the Western Desert. He flew with Aces such as Schroer, Otto Schultz and Hans-Joachim Marseilles, of whom he was a great friend. Stahlschmidt was awarded the Knights Cross in August 1942 after scoring 48 victories. On 7th September he took off on a free hunting sortie and never returned. His final tally was 59 victories and was Posthumously awarded the Oakleaves.
This is an original handwritten navigational log dated 22 June 1940 when Stahlschmidt was still training at LKS5. It is Signed in the top right corner by Stahlschmidt.
